Bulk anise star oil is a clear, light to pale yellow oil with a characteristic potent aroma. It most closely resembles the scent and flavor of black licorice. Sweet Marjoram originated from the Mediterranean and North Africa. Its uses can be dated back to 2000 BC in Egypt where it is here that it was recognised medically as a digestive, decongestant, antispasmodic and also sedater.
